Goodman and SEUR held a ceremony laying the first pillar of the Getafe Terminal Logistics Centre, that will be operational in 2026. The event was attended by Sara Hernández, Mayor of Getafe, Ignacio García, Country Manager of Goodman Spain and David Sastre, CEO of SEUR.
Goodman is working closely with SEUR to develop Getafe Terminal Logistics Centre as key logistics infrastructure which will become SEUR's central hub in Spain. Its strategic location, close to the centre of Madrid, is well connected to the main access roads to the capital, and next to the Getafe Industrial train station. The infrastructure, one of the largest of its kind in Europe, is fully digitalised and equipped with the latest cutting-edge technology, making it one of the most important logistics centre in Spain for the company.
The Getafe Terminal Logistics Centre will provide Getafe with essential infrastructure for urban distribution and will revitalise economic activity in the area. It is estimated that the building’s development and operations will generate a total of 600 direct jobs.
The 100,000 square metre development will become a two-storey multi-purpose production facility, which will house three SEUR business units: one for last mile distribution, with the capacity to house up to 300 delivery vehicles; an area for national and international cross-docking activity with trailers and duo-trailers; and a final one for the classification and distribution of refrigerated food products.
Designed as a state-of-the-art building, Getafe Terminal Logistics Centre can be adapted to SUER’s needs over time, with an initial capacity of up to 1.5 million packages per day.
The ideal location of the logistics centre, 13 kilometres from the centre of Madrid, will allow SEUR, the leading express transport company in Spain, to respond effectively to growing market demand. Thanks to its strategic location, SEUR will be able to optimise its operations in central Spain, from where it will consolidate its current global growth.

Goodman and SEUR join forces to reduce carbon emissions during the construction process and operational emissions throughout the life of the asset
SEUR has a clear objective to achieve net zero emissions by 2040. In fact, Geopost, the Group to which SEUR belongs, is the only one in the sector to have been recognised by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) which endorses this ambitious goal. As a result, the Getafe infrastructure had to be designed and aligned to meet this challenge.
Goodman will work intensively with the entire supply Chain during the construction process of the Getafe Terminal Logistics Centre, to reduce CO2 emissions by 30% and, thanks to the installation of 4MW of photovoltaic solar energy, will mitigate operational emissions throughout the life of the asset.
The project will also receive the BREEAM Excellent certification, which endorses the sustainable construction of the facility, and will also have the VALORIZA certification, which certifies the management of the waste produced during construction with the aim of recovering it 100%.
