Goodman Group (ASX: GMG) has appointed experienced data centre leader, Kraig Knight to head global data centre operations. Based in the United States, as Executive Vice President, Data Centre Operations, Kraig will drive the design, development and deployment of Goodman’s operational data centre offering globally.
Kraig has over 30 years of global experience in critical data centre environment operations, including senior roles at Amazon and Microsoft. He was most recently responsible for overseeing Microsoft’s central operations across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
Greg Goodman, Group CEO of Goodman Group said, “Kraig’s expertise across data centre design, construction and operations will see him build out the operational capabilities of the data centre business in line with developing our 5GW global power bank.
He will be responsible for creating and executing a flexible operational model to meet customers’ needs for critical infrastructure, IT operations, physical security and network operations. Kraig will play a key role in advancing Goodman’s global data centre strategy and offering for customers.”

Kraig’s appointment follows a number of senior industry hires Goodman has made over the last 18 months as it expands its data centre team and offering. The Group has been developing its data centre capability since 2005 and has grown to become a large owner of powered sites globally.
