For home24, the 70,000 sqm logistics property is the largest facility in the company's history in Germany. home24 chose to locate in Halle due to its excellent traffic infrastructure.
The property in Star Park Halle is the third one Goodman has developed for home24, having also developed logistics facilities in Ludwigsfelde near Berlin and Walsrode (Lower Saxony). The 70,000 sqm logistics facility, which was constructed on a 133,000 sqm site, is Germany's largest logistics centre for home24.

On behalf of the entire Executive Board, I would like to thank all those involved for their great cooperation in the implementation of the project and for their constructive support.”
Special class logistics hotspot
Thanks to its excellent infrastructure the location in Halle impresses with a direct motorway connection to the A 14. With its proximity to the second largest German freight airport – Leipzig/Halle – and an excellent connection to the railway network, the region is linked to central traffic routes for the multimodal transportation of goods. Goodman has been active in this location for many years. In 2015, the Group developed a logistics property of around 28,000 sqm for eBay Enterprise. In 2016, Goodman then followed up with a 22,000 sqm logistics centre for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics followed. Since Goodman has added this to the portfolio, the company covers over 400,000 sqm of modern space under management in one of Germany’s most important logistics regions.
Markus Meyer, Head of Northern Germany at Goodman, explains: "The first-class infrastructure and the location of Star Park Halle contribute to promoting national and international business activities. For this reason, the Halle location with its proximity to Leipzig plays an ever-more important role for companies operating throughout Europe. This is just one of the reasons we've been investing in this region for such a long time and we have further development projects planned for this region.”
