Volkswagen

Overview

Goodman develops logistics facilities and has extensive experience in the automotive industry. This expertise has also been demonstrated by the development of the external supply centre for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Hanover.
Europe’s largest vehicle manufacturer benefits particularly from the strengths of Goodman’s integrated business model. With the ’own+develop+manage’ strategy, the Group offers its customers all of its in house services. It is known for developing sustainable facilities in key business locations.

Goodman built an individually tailored logistics facility for VW in just seven months. The first unit was completed after five months. The state-of-the-art facility which spans an area of 83,000 m² guarantees the JIS/JIT conveyor belt supply for the production of the Amarok model.
Goodman also applies high standards in the sustainable design of the building. A photovoltaic system was installed on the roof for solar energy. Loading and unloading tunnels all around the facility allow it to be operated at low emission levels.
