Thursday, 15 December 2016

Goodman Group, a leading global owner, developer and manager of industrial real estate, has leased two existing properties with a total area of 21,000 sqm to logistics service providers Fiege and Emons Logistik. As a result, Goodman maintains full occupancy at both logistics centres, contributing to its near 100% occupancy across its German portfolio.

Fiege is one of the leading international full service logistics providers and a pioneer in contract logistics. With 160 sites in 15 countries, the company operates an extensive international distribution network. To expand its activities the company needed high quality logistics space, at short notice and in an excellent location in Ludwigsfelde south of Berlin. Goodman delivered Fiege a 16,000 sqm logistics centre to provide logistics services to a customer from the consumer goods sector.

In Leipzig, Goodman leased 5,000 sqm of state-of-the-art logistics space to Emons Logistik, a subsidiary of world wide operating transport and logistics company Emons. Emons will use the property as a multi user warehouse. The modern logistics site, located in Leipzig freight village and with excellent connections to the A14 and A9 motorways, will allow Emons to enhance its regional business in Saxony an to expand its presence in the european logistics market.

“Goodman’s long-term approach to property service is fundamental to our business model and service offering. Through our strategic and proactive approach to property service, we maintain our assets to high market standards, enabling us to provide quality real estate solutions to our customers and investments for our capital partners,” said Jordan Corynen, Goodman Regional Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
